Cruachan's unique location makes it a popular attraction with over 60,000 visitors touring "The Hollow Mountain" or visiting the purpose-built Visitor Centre each season.

Visitor Centre Exhibition

The Exhibition explains how the power station works, and houses information on all of Scottishpower's renewable energy projects.

Interactive touch screens are provided that demonstrates the way in which power will be generated well into the future. Find out more about the exhibition here.

Cafeteria

Cafeteria

The Loch side cafeteria can seat 50 persons. The cafeteria overlooks beautiful Loch awe and is well known for its bird life, if you are lucky you may see an Osprey, Red Kite or one of our beautiful Eagles.

A picnic area is provided where you can eat your own food in the quiet garden of the centre.

During the summer season lunch or snacks can be served on our patio area, Alternatively you can site inside, watch the world go by and enjoy the spectacular views over Loch awe.

CafeteriaGift Shop

The visitor centre has a small shop, with a variety of gifts for all ages, including a selection of jewellery, children’s toys and souvenirs.
