Located at the head of Loch Awe and only 19 miles away from Oban, Cruachan is close to a variety of other tourist attractions also worthy of visiting.
Least of all the is the loch itself, which looks beautiful in any season and is home to a large number of of species including osprey and red deer.
Hikers might enjoy a brisk walk to the summit of Ben Cruachan, where the power station's dam can be seen.
