Where to find us
Cruachan Visitor Centre is situated on the north bank of Loch Awe, 19 miles east of Oban on the A85. Falls of Cruachan station is 200 metres away and served by trains between Glasgow and Oban. The Visitor Centre is also on Glasgow to Oban bus routes.

Opening Times
Cruachan Visitor Centre is Open Monday – Friday
9.15am – 4.45pm.
The Visitor Centre at Cruachan Power Station have also developed an educational webinar for primary school children, focusing on Cruachan Power Station. To find out more about the webinars and about the work we are doing schools local to Cruachan in Scotland, please contact us via [email protected]

Tours suspended
Our Visitor Centre with free exhibition, cafe and gift shop remain open – we look forward to welcoming you.
Our power station tours into the mountain are currently closed as we undertake a project to upgrade two of Cruachan’s four units. The exciting £80 million project will see the plant’s generating capacity increased and original parts in two of the units replaced to improve their efficiency.

Car parking
The Cruachan Visitor Centre and Hollow Mountain Cafe have a free of charge car park for visitors to the centre.
Disabled access
The Cruachan Visitor Centre and Hollow Mountain Cafe offer step-free access.
However, tours of the Hollow Mountain and Cruachan Power Station are unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users and may be unsuitable for persons with limited mobility.
Pets
Pets are not permitted in any area of Cruachan visitor centre or on our guided tours of Cruachan Power Station.
